SPRATTY SAYS 7th March 2008
Well there goes summer, such as it was. This climate change stuff is pretty confusing, I thought we voted for the hot, dry, important and urgent climate change government people, it appears we were gipped and got the Government for cool and wet summers instead, good thing we get another go in a few years. I wonder if they will say sorry for renigging on the promised structure of climate change?
On the homefront I run into my offspring it appears, only when there is something I find trite, shallow or even distasteful on television, otherwise we are on generally diverging tangents. Mrs Spratty was pretty excited to hear from the world's luckiest cockatiel in recent days although it was only over the phone she is a little more relaxed about the bird's situation.
The big news on the homefront, is the successful adoption of my unique gravity driven passionfruit production process. After months of careful management and planning I have worked my way through a plethora of OH and S issues and am pleased to report that production is in full swing. In fact I picked up a couple this morning on my way to work. The other news from the Ponderosa is the deployment of my mother-in-law to at least partially make up for my well documented domestic deficiencies. She's doing very well under Mrs Spratty's expert tutelage especially in the garden, although I must speak to her about her early Sunday morning starts.
On the sporting front I was impressed to learn I was mistaken for a proper player by the new coaching staff at the Redmen in the primeval dawn of early pre-season sessions. Fortunately this glaring misconception was rectified once a cursory assessment was made of my pretty meagre efforts. Seriously
there is a good feel at the Redmen, very different from the contagious passion brought to every session by Coach Powell, there is a quiet feeling of confidence building under new coaches Hackett, Pye and co.
Workwise its been another busy month. Rob Connell has turned the Falcon runout mountain of cars into oddments with some fantastic bonuses. The Hyundai i30 is going gangbusters with availability drifting well into forward order, and the interest in iMAX and iLOAD exceeding our expectations.
Exports continue to flow with families in Emerald and East Hills among other places finding something Automotive to take home from the Clarence.
Finally a reminder to get your car into the Auto Pleasure dome in Victoria street for a little attention, because ... Sometimes it's tough out there for a car!
Happy Motoring
